Adnor and Nina Brito
Adnor and Antonina Brito are missionaries with New Tribes Mission in Eirunepe, Brazil. Johnny Smithson introduced them to us after he made a short-term missions trip to Brazil.
The Britos operate a home base to support missionary efforts to villages belonging to the Kanamari Indian tribe. A team is learning the Kanamari culture and language. Both Adnor and Nina have had recent physical problems. The Kanamari young people are heavily involved in alcoholism, sometimes with fatal results. The tribe is adjusting to new tribal leadership.
The Britos have requested prayer:
. For the very few believers who still meet to praise the Lord.
. That God would use the lives of the missionaries among these people, and that soon Jesus would be a reality in their lives.
. For the health of the Indians. Malaria, viruses and other sicknesses are common to this area, and during high water time, there is a lot of disease and epidemics.
. For a larger canoe, as theirs is far too small now that the team has grown. They need it to transport the missionaries and their supplies, and the sick Indians.
