KAREN MILLS

Karen, and her late husband Bill, started WordPartners ministry over fifty years ago, and she still faithfully serves as the financial administrator. Scenic Park Bible Church has been supporting the Mills' involvement in ministry since 1997.

Karen grew up in Palos Heights, Illinois, the same town where the ministry is located. She has two grown sons, Peter and Joel. Peter is married to Helyn and living in Wisconsin, and Joel is single and working as a veterinarian in Illinois near where Karen lives. Karen praises God for her two sons and daughter-in-law who watch out for her, especially over the last two years.

Karen's comments about her ministry work: "I am so grateful to work here. I feel that the staff here is my family, and I hope to continue working here as long as God enables me. One of the things I love is that the people I work with are not just co-workers, but good friends as well. I am on the finance team, and we work together just that way – as a team. I praise God for our new president. I have gotten to know him fairly well over the past six months. He is a godly man who loves this ministry and cares for the staff."

WordPartners longs to see the Word of God flowing powerfully through every church in every nation. Therefore the ministry exists to elevate God's life-giving Word in the hearts, lives, and ministries of pastors and their people. The ministry does that by developing a team of global partners who encourage and equip pastors to teach God's Word with God's heart. God is using WordPartners to impact pastors in over sixty countries, training over 18,000 pastors per year.
